<br />Version 4/2/2019 <br />Question: Who will be performing coatings inspections? Any 3rd party inspectors? If so, <br />who will it be? If unknown, who is being considered? <br />Answer: The City of South Bend has interest in contracting a 3rd party inspector for coating <br />inspections. This contract has not been negotiated yet. Considerations are still preliminary. <br /> <br />Question: Are there any antennas on the tank and if so, who is responsible for <br />removing/protecting them? <br />Answer: There are two antennas on the tank (refer to the below photograph). The City of <br />South Bend owns these antennas and contractor will be required to remove and salvage <br />them during construction. Coordinate with city operations staff when removed to <br />troubleshoot any potential communications errors if triggered by removal. <br /> <br /> <br />Question: Is the entire interior dry being painted? <br />Answer: Specific spot repairs are called out in the Base Bid under Item No. 1. There is <br />an allowance for additional spot repairs to the interior dry coatings per Item No. 4 of the <br />Base Bid. Refer to Appendix D of the Contract Documents for specific repair locations. <br />See Specification 9970-7, Part 2 of the Contract Documents. <br />
