Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> May 1, 1991 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Mr. Edwins noted that he would update the Council on a <br /> regular basis with regard to each major stage of the <br /> renovation. <br /> The City Controller further noted that the City has not yet <br /> acquired the Palais Royale, but that she sees this happening <br /> in the "very near future". <br /> Mr. Peroti referred to the Feasibility Study prepared by his <br /> firm, and noted that retail space in the Palais Royale is <br /> important. <br /> In response to a question raised by Council Member Luecke, <br /> it was noted that the total cost of the architectural fee <br /> will be 9.9% of the cost of construction. Mr. Edwins noted <br /> that Asbestos Abatement may be necessary when reviewing the <br /> renovation. <br /> Council Member Luecke questioned staffing and how it would <br /> be coordinated. The City Controller noted that Mr. Peroti <br /> would be involved in that process. Mr. Peroti noted that the <br /> City's role should be carefully weighed with regard to <br /> preserving the asset, and that an operating endowment for <br /> replacement and maintenance of equipment should be also <br /> addressed. <br /> In response to a question raised by Council Member Ladewski, <br /> the City Controller noted that the City has received <br /> $168,715. 00 in Cable TV revenues for 1991 which is one-half <br /> of the fees anticipated, that in 1990 $308,000. 00 were <br /> received, and that in 1989 $281,000.00 were received. <br /> The Council Attorney questioned whether all requirements <br /> resulting from the ADA would be developed into the <br /> architectural phase design. Mr. Edwins stated that there <br /> would be coordination with regard to all disability <br /> standards. <br /> Council Member Coleman noted that he is a member of the <br /> Entertainment District Board (copy attached of all members) <br /> and that he would periodically update the Council. Mr. <br /> Edwins stated that all members of the Council were welcome <br /> to attend such meetings, which are now scheduled for the <br /> third Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. Council Member <br /> Ladewski requested that all members of the Council receive <br /> copies of all such Board meetings. It was further noted that <br /> the meetings are held in the auditorium. <br /> Following further discussion, Council Member Coleman made a <br /> motion seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski that Bill No. <br />
