Of this amount, $18, 000. 00 would be
used to repair the lighting system, including rewiring.
Approximately $10,000.00 would be used for an irrigation
system, which would be installed on South and Taylor
Streets. This system was originally in the stadium plans.
Mr. Nussbaum noted that there have been a number of power
outages and problems with regard to turning on and off the
lights. He noted that once the repairs are completed that
there will be control both by computers as well as manually
on banks of lights.
Mr. Nussbaum also noted that the remaining $2,000.00 would
be used for a new computer system. In
response to a further question from Council Member Puzzello,
it was noted that the Fund had approximately $151,000.00 as
of March, and that if the proposed Ordinance would be
approved that there would be a balance remaining of
approximately $20,000.00.
Council Member Zakrzewski questioned how much savings would
result with the new wiring system in place. Mr. Nussbaum
stated that he would have that figure available for the time
of the public hearing.
Council Member Puzzello suggested that the sign of the
stadium be cleaned.
