Page | 2 <br />VIOLATION REMEDY <br />Obtain State of Indiana Design Release for use of building, obtain all necessary permits <br />and inspections. Obtain a Certificate of occupancy for use of building. <br />4.Section 6-6(b) Any person or anyone acting on behalf thereof who violates or fails to <br />comply with any of the provisions of the Building Code shall be guilty of an offense and, <br />upon conviction thereof, shall be fined five hundred dollars ($500.00). Each day that a <br />violation is permitted to exist shall constitute a separate offense. <br />VIOLATION REMEDY <br />Obtain State of Indiana Design Release for use of building, obtain all necessary permits <br />and inspections. Obtain a Certificate of occupancy for the use of the building. <br />Permit applications can be picked up at our office or found at the following link: <br />https://www.southbendin.gov/residents/content/building-permits. <br />Be advised that the applicable permit fee(s) shall be tripled pursuant to South Bend Municipal Code <br />§6-4(e) of the City of South Bend Ordinance, and that the Building Department exercises no <br />discretion regarding the imposition of this statutory penalty. <br />If these violations exist on or after 3/26/2022 citations will be issued.
