E I <br /> Qtnmmttur aepnrt <br /> Joint Meeting of the Personnel & Finance Committee <br /> and the Utilities Committee <br /> c In tile Comm Qlounrtl of the Ong of'ou# rnd: <br /> The November 26, 1990 joint meeting of the Personnel & <br /> Finance Committee and Utilities Committee was called to <br /> order by the Personnel & Finance Committee Chairperson, Ann <br /> Puzzello at 4: 00 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Zakrzewski, <br /> Duda, Coleman, Luecke, Niezgodski, Soderberg, Puzzello, and <br /> Slavinskas; Jack Dillon, Carl Kopek, Bob Kruszynski, Joe <br /> Agostina, John Leszczynski, Jeff Rinard, John Leisenring, <br /> John Byorni, Katie Humphreys, John Oxion, a member of the <br /> news media, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Council Member Puzzello then called upon Mr. Leszczynski to <br /> review Bill No. 103-90 which would appropriate monies for <br /> the purpose of defraying the expenses of the designated <br /> Enterprise Funds for the fiscal year 1991. Mr. Leszczynski <br /> then provided handouts to the joint Committees (copy <br /> attached) and reviewed both handouts. He noted that with the <br /> revisions made by Mr. Agostino on the Water Works Budget, <br /> that there should be an ending cash balance at the end of <br /> 1991 of $179,280. 00. <br /> In response to a question raised by Council Member <br /> Niezgodski, Mr. Dillon noted that PERF and salaries were <br /> revised in light of the deletion of the dispatcher. <br /> Mr. Leszczynski noted that the Solid Waste Budget is still <br /> projected at a deficit. He noted however, that as he had <br /> mentioned at the prior Committee meetings, that he believes <br /> it would be premature to have a rate increase before the <br /> study is completed. He noted that the Council would be <br /> involved throughout the study. <br /> Council Member Zakrzewski questioned the study, and it was <br /> noted by Mr. Leszczynski that it would be completed in early <br /> 1991. <br /> Council Member Duda noted the impact of the Yard Waste <br /> Program and the recycling efforts made to date. She asked <br /> for a meeting with Mr. Leszczynski to discuss these programs <br /> in further detail. <br /> In response to a question raised by Council Member Luecke, <br /> it was noted that the study would incorporate a transfe <br /> station possibility. Mr. Leszczysnki noted that he has had <br /> several meetings with Mr. Mendel Pizer with regard to <br /> recycling efforts. <br /> 1 <br />
