The proposal was approved in the amount of
$23,295. Prior to the filing of the Ignition Park Plat documents, Danch, Harrier&
Associates were asked to make several changes that were beyond their original scope of
work, incurring additional expenses. The current purchase order for Danch, Harrier&
Associates has $720 which is insufficient to cover the final invoice from DHA in the amount
of$2,210. The vacation was approved by the Common Council in April, but it
was not until October 22 that the street was formally closed. As part of the closure process,
the city coordinated with State Barricade to provide all of the necessary road closure
planning and associated equipment. The city does not own any equipment for road closures
so we needed to contract for this service. It is anticipated that once the Ivy Tower property
transfers to Union Station ownership this spring, permanent closure elements will be
implemented. The Union Station team has begun to make steps to develop permanent
closure elements at the South Street(northern end) of the corridor. The plans for the
permanent building addition to Union station are being finalized and should be constructed
6
