Personnel & Finance Committee <br /> August 27, 1990 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Council Member Coleman asked several questions with regard <br /> to the replacement option and Council Member Voorde also <br /> questioned Council Member Luecke with regard to this <br /> proposal. Council Member Soderberg voiced concerned that it <br /> should not become an undue hardship to businesses. <br /> Following further discussion it was suggested that on Page 2 <br /> after the word expand that the following words be added "or <br /> replace Type B Fencing in its entirety" and that in <br /> Paragraph 4, on Page 2 that the word "fore" be corrected. <br /> Council Member Luecke made a motion seconded by Council <br /> Member Zakrzewski to incorporate those changes into the <br /> Bill. The motion passed. Council Member Luecke then made a <br /> motion seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski that amended <br /> Substitute Bill be recommended favorably to Council. The <br /> motion passed. <br /> Council Member Puzzello noted that the remaining items <br /> involve Bill Nos. 69-90, 70-90 & 71-90 all related to the <br /> Budget for 1991. She noted that Minutes of the Personnel & <br /> Finance Committee Hearings were presented to each Council <br /> Member earlier. <br /> Katie Humphreys, then passed out a 1 page handout entitled <br /> "Ordinance/Budget Changes" (copy attached) , which would <br /> formally be the Administrations recommendation to amend Bill <br /> # 69-90. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Luecke made a motion <br /> seconded by Council Member Voorde that Bill #69-90 be <br /> recommended as proposed by the City Administration. The <br /> motion passed. Council Member Luecke then made a motion <br /> seconded by Council Member Voorde that Amended Bill 69-90 be <br /> recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> The Committee then discussed Bill #70-90 addressing the <br /> Levying of Taxes and Fixing the Rate of Taxation. It was <br /> suggested that the City Controller have the current rate, <br /> the advertised rate and the proposed rate available for this <br /> evenings hearing. Following discussion, Council Member <br /> Luecke made a motion seconded by Council Member Voorde that <br /> Bill #79-90 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill #71-90 which would <br /> appropriate money to defray expenses at the Century Center. <br /> Katie Humphreys noted that no changes were recommended from <br /> the Committee hearings.
