OtummMttn &t&Part <br /> HUMAN RESOURCES & ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT <br /> �!o the Montanan Qloutwit of the Mitg of Ooutil Snit <br /> The September 24, 1990 meeting of the Human Resources & <br /> Economic Development Committee was called to order by it's <br /> Chairperson, Council Member Steve Luecke at 5: 10 PM in the <br /> Council Informal Meeting Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Zakrzewski, <br /> Coleman, Luecke, Niezgodski, Soderberg, Puzzello, Slavinskas <br /> and Voorde; Beth Leonard, Jon Hart, Ann Kolata, Don Porter, <br /> Hedy Robinson, Harold Wyland, William Lawrence, Bill <br /> Panzica, Marsha Townsend, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda was to review Bill No. 75-90 <br /> which would appropriate $20,812. 00 withing the Department of <br /> Economic Development. <br /> Ann Kolata presented the Bill. She noted that it was <br /> necessary to have this appropriation from the Studebaker <br /> Corridor Bond proceeds to Economic Development to allow <br /> reimbursement for appraisals done previously. <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Slavinskas made a <br /> motion seconded by Council Member Zakrzewski that Bill No. <br /> 75-90 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion <br /> passed. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Resolution 90-44 which is a <br /> three (3) year Real Property Tax Abatement Request for <br /> Transit-Mix, Inc. and Resolution No. 90-45 which is a five <br /> (5) year Personal Property Tax Abatement Request for <br /> Transit-Mix, Inc. <br /> Hedy Robinson then reviewed the report dated September 24, <br /> 1990 (copy attached) . <br /> Mr. Harold Wyland, General Council for Transit-Mix, Inc. <br /> then made the presentation. He introduced Mr. William <br /> Lawrence, the President of the Company. He noted that the <br /> Tax Abatements involved would allow the building of a state <br /> of the art concrete plant. The plant would utilize new types <br /> of dust control and dust collection resulting in recycling <br /> of concrete dust. The target date is late Spring of 1991 to <br /> be operable. <br /> Council Member Soderberg questioned the need for a six (6) <br /> inch well at a cost of $5,485. 00. Mr. Lawrence noted that <br /> this would be necessary as a part of the plant operation. <br />
