Area Board of Zoning Appeals—December 5, 2012
MR. DANCH: There's a grass area off of the curb line between the sidewalk and the street that I went out
and looked out and there are trees farther to the south of us that are mature trees and I didn't see any utilities
marked at that location so I'll work with the City forester on that.
MR. PHIPPS: If you're not able to put any along Hill, it seems like you should have a couple of trees at the
end of that interior behind that line of parking spaces, something along that side...
MR. DANCH: And that's what I can work with the staff,Area Plan and Building Department. And that's
what I had told Christa ahead of time. If the Board approves the number of trees to 8 that I've got to put and
then what we can do is we'll find a place for those.
MR. PHIPPS: Okay
IN FAVOR
There was no one present to speak in favor of this petition.
REMONSTRANCE
There was no one present to speak in remonstrance of this petition.
A motion for approval of the variances subject to eight trees being added was made by Mr. Matthys and
seconded by Mr. Hawley. The motion carried unanimously.
A motion to send the Special Exception for the trailer and parking lot to the Common Council with a
Favorable Recommendation was made by Mr. Matthys and seconded by Mr. Hawley.
MR. BULOT: We have to handle all the Special Exceptions under one umbrella, we can't have two separate
Special Exceptions.
MR. FEDDER: Whatever was contemplated by the petitioner.
MR. VELLEMAN: Really. We can't separate those? I don't see why you build a high school, that big ole
building and you don't have room to stick that little storage trailer stuff inside that building someplace. I
have a problem with that storage trailer, I'm sorry and I don't know about anybody else but. Two months ago
we allowed those people down south, no on the north side their mobile for the 12fh year now, I think. Who's
to say that in ten years they're not going to come back and want to do this again?
MR. LYONS: You could make one motion with the recommending favorable and denying part of it just like
you do with variances.
MR. FEDDER: Except with this project and understanding with what Mikes says, I doubt if that trailer is
going to be there long. I expect that they're going to be adding a new...
32
