&tnmmtttn smart <br /> ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> Ms tilt emu= t omuti of tdlr CV of lira: <br /> The October 10,' 1988 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairman Councilmen Lee . <br /> Slavinskas at 3 :40 p.m. in the Council informal meeting <br /> room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Councilmen:. Zakrzewski, <br /> Luecke, Puzzello, Slavinskas, Coleman, and Duda; Doug <br /> Carpenter, citizen member, Attorney Joseph Amaral, Ann <br /> Mannix, Steve Henry, Dick Maginot, James Wensits, Mike <br /> Danch, Dave Behr, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> The first item on the agenda to be reviewed was Bill No. 41- <br /> 88 which would rezone the property located at the southeast <br /> corner of Jackson and Ironwood roads. Mr. Mike Danch of <br /> Peirce &. Associates stated that the area will have 389 <br /> single family lots. The development would abut the <br /> Stonehedge subdivision. All of the drainage requirements <br /> would be met to City limits. There would be 4 entrances <br /> namely two on Ironwood Road and two on Jackson Road. The <br /> name of the subdivision would be Greystone Manor <br /> subdivision. <br /> The petitioner for the rezoning is "Relative Real Estate <br /> Management, Inc. " out of Bristol, Connecticut. Mr. <br /> Frederick R. Hains is the attorney for the petitioner. <br /> Mr. Danch noted that the lots would be over 7, 000 square <br /> feet and the homes to be built would range in price from <br /> $65, 000. 00 to $100,000. 00 plus. He further noted that the <br /> area in. question was annexed into the City on September 15, <br /> 1988. <br /> The committee then reviewed a preliminary site development <br /> plan of the proposed subdivision. <br /> Following favorable comments, Councilman Steve Luecke made a <br /> motion seconded by Councilman Coleman that Bill No. 41-88 be <br /> recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> Council Member. Ann Puzzello then reviewed Bill No. 105-87 <br /> which would amend the zoning for a portion of the northeast <br /> neighborhood. It was noted that a substitute bill would be <br /> considered. <br /> Council Member Puzzello stated that the original bill was <br /> before the Area Plan Commission approximately one year ago <br /> and received considerable remonstrance. The area in <br /> question now is considerably smaller and received a <br /> favorable recommendation from the Area Plan Commission at <br /> its meeting of September 20, 1988. <br />
