allanunintr 3trpnri <br /> 4 <br /> ZONING AND VACATION COMMITTEE <br /> The December 21, 1987 meeting of the Zoning and Vacation <br /> Committee was called to order by its Chairman, Councilman <br /> John Voorde, at 3:45pm in the Council's informal meeting <br /> room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Councilmen and Councilwoman: <br /> Beck, Puzzello, Serge, Voorde, Barcome, Paszek, and <br /> Zakrzewski; Doug Carpenter, citizen member, Ideal Baldoni, <br /> Don Niezgodski, Kenneth Fedder, Jim Miller, Mr. Dennis <br /> Hartman, Mr. Dick Maginot, Sean Coleman, Roberto Parisi, Jim <br /> Wensits, Dave Behr, and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand. <br /> Councilman Voorde noted that the first item on the agenda <br /> was to review bill no. 127-87 which would amend the zoning <br /> ordinance for property located at 529 Crescent Avenue. He <br /> noted that the Area Plan Meeting of December 15, 1987 it <br /> received a favorable recommendation. <br /> Mr. James Miller, the attorney for the petitioner, showed a <br /> site plan of the area in question. He noted that it is the <br /> former Morse Electric property. The petitioner wishes to <br /> enlarge the facility to add additional storage for <br /> equipment. The property will be entirely fenced and will <br /> change the zoning from B to D. He also noted that there <br /> were no remonstrators at the Area Plan meeting. He further <br /> indicated that there be additional landscaping on the <br /> portion which faces the residential area and that there is a <br /> security gate to the property. <br /> Following discussion, Councilman Serge made a motion <br /> seconded by Councilwoman Puzzello that bill 127-87 be <br /> recommended favorably to the Council. The motion passed. <br /> Councilman Voorde then noted that the Committee was to <br /> review bill no. 126-87 which would amend the zoning for the <br /> property located at 1406/1412 South Bend Avenue. <br /> Council Barcome, the sponsor of the ordinance, briefly <br /> explained the bill. He noted that the Area Plan meeting <br /> there were two people in opposition, namely, Councilwoman <br /> Puzzello and Louis Seago. He further noted that the Area <br /> Plan Commission gave a bill to the Council without <br /> recommendation. He stated that there would be no bar in the <br /> restaurant and that it would be a family oriented facility <br /> entitled "Parisi's Restaurant. " <br /> Mr. Ken Fedder, the attorney for Mr. Parisi, then showed a <br /> drawing of the proposed restaurant and several pictures of <br /> the current site.
