One of Chris’s strengths is listening <br />to a municipality and its staff of professionals. He strives to learn the issues they face by working with the community they <br />serve to maintain a safe infrastructure that facilitates and enhances their everyday lives. Learning the issues they face <br />everyday while maintaining the communities infrastructure, and working with them to come up with low cost solutions. <br />Adding value to the neighborhood and a piece of mind to its residents. <br />Joe’s 41-year career, primarily focused on transportation <br />engineering projects, has resulted in beneficial <br />relationships. His utility coordination experience has <br />allowed him to personally know many of the utility company <br />representatives throughout northeast Indiana. These <br />experience-based relationships exist with INDOT and the <br />MPO as well. Joe’s extensive experience on sidewalk, curb <br />ramp and intersection improvement projects prove valuable <br />when working in an urban built-up environment where right- <br />of-way is tight. Phases were federally funded <br />and administered through St. Joseph County on behalf of <br />Friends of Granger Paths. <br />PROJECT EXPERIENCE NAPPANEE: One of Chris’s first projects was the design <br />and construction inspection of Nappanee’s bike path along <br />US 6, SR 19, CR 7, Woodview Dr and community park. <br />PLYMOUTH: Chris oversaw the design and construction <br />inspection of Plymouth’s Greenways Trail which connects <br />the City’s parks to the High School. <br />DOWNTOWN BREMEN: Worked with INDOT, Town of <br />Bremen,OCRA, and JPR on development and coordination <br />of four separate construction contracts for the complete <br />reconstruction of Bremen’s downtown.
