6. The Contractor shall provide job mix formula information, admixtures, and color samples <br />with specified finish for approval by the Owner in advance of ordering the material. All work <br />shall be done in accordance with the color material manufacturer's recommendations. <br />7. The Contractor shall provide job mix formula information including admixtures to the City a <br />minimum of five (5) working days prior to the work. <br />8. Measurement and Payment <br />a. Payment for all costs associated with concrete sidewalks, including the cost of all <br />materials, equipment, tools, labor, transportation, operations, and all other incidentals, <br />shall be paid for on a square yard basis for all parts under the pay item: <br />CONCRETE, SIDEWALK 4 IN..................................................................SYS <br />XXXIII. CONCRETE, CURB <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 605 <br />B. Additions: <br />1. Expansion material is required at all cold joints, POC's, POT's, alignment changes, and at <br />80' intervals in all other areas. <br />2. Transverse control joints shall be placed at equal intervals not to exceed 10 feet. <br />3. See the City of South Bend Standard Drawings for curb details to be used on this project. <br />4. Where abutting existing curb, the new curb height shall be adjusted during the last ten (10) <br />feet to match the existing curb profile. <br />5. The only acceptable method of curing will be white membrane. All concrete shall be <br />membrane -cured regardless of weather conditions. <br />6. Measurement and Payment <br />a. Payment for all costs of concrete curb and cost of all materials, equipment, tools, labor, <br />transportation, operations, and all other incidentals, shall be paid for on a linear foot <br />basis under the pay items: <br />CONCRETE, CURB............................................................................LFT <br />XXXIV. STORM PIPE <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 715 <br />B. Additions: <br />1. Pipe shall be of the following material, unless otherwise noted on the plans: <br />a. SDR 35 PVC Pipe <br />2. The Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary construction engineering to provide <br />positive drainage and to connect to flow elevations of adjacent existing lines to be <br />connected to. <br />Version 08/25/2021 Special Provisions -14 <br />
