Page 2. <br /> Personnel and Finance Committee <br /> August 8, 1986 <br /> Councilman Serge then made a motion seconded by Councilman <br /> Paszek that the amended version of the City Clerk' s Budget reducing it <br /> by $4,000 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> COMMON COUNCIL, pages 9 through 10, $296,481 <br /> Carol Sanders then noted that Line Item 311. 1 entitled Legal <br /> Services should be increased by $464 bringing that Line Item account <br /> to a total of $24 ,045. It was noted this would be an increase for the <br /> present Council Attorney. Following discussion Councilman Beck made a <br /> motion seconded by Councilman Braboy to accept the recommended increase <br /> for this Line Item. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> Following discussion by the Committee members and a review by <br /> Council President Beck of the budget, the following cuts were <br /> recommended: <br /> Line Item 322 Travel Expenses_: $2, 000 <br /> Line Item 335 Promotional Expenses $2,500 <br /> Councilman Serge made a motion seconded by Councilman Beck to <br /> recommend favorably the Common Council Budget including the total cuts of <br /> $4 ,500. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> It was also noted that LIne Item 399 entitled Other Contractuals <br /> in the amount of $135,000 represented the first installment of the City <br /> election cost. <br /> CEMETERIES, pages 16 through 17, $99,631 <br /> Mr. Bob Niezgodski then reviewed the Bureau of Cemeteries Budget <br /> which is increased from the current budget at 24%. <br /> Following discussion Councilman Serge made a motion seconded by <br /> Councilman Paszek that the Bureau of Cemeteries Budget go to the Council <br /> favorably. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> WEIGHTS AND MEASURES, page 24, $42,673 <br /> Mr. Joseph Nagy then reviewed the Weights and Measures Budget which <br /> is identical to the current budget. Following the review by the Committee <br /> members, Councilman Beck made a motion seconded by Councilman Braboy to <br /> recommend favorably the Weights and Measures Budget. The motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Councilman Voorde noted that in the worksheets it was noted that <br /> Line Item 429 would incorporate the cost for a new computer system of <br /> approximately $3,000 for a PC plus ongoing costs. This amount was not <br /> included in the requested budget by the Administration. <br />
