Page 2. <br /> The Council attorney inquired whether the City complied with <br /> the "Sec. 504" mandates of the Rehabilition Act. She noted that <br /> all communities receiving federal revenue sharing were to complete <br /> several documents. by October 17 , 1984 and send them to the Office <br /> of Revenue, Department of Treasury.Councilman Braboy requested that <br /> a letter be prepared for her signature to Mr. Oppenheim requesting <br /> copies of the materials that were sent. <br /> Following further discussion by the Committee Councilman Beck <br /> made a motion seconded by Councilman Puzzello that Substitute Bill <br /> No. 113-84 go to Council favorably. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> The Committee then reviewed Bill No. 114-84 which was also a <br /> substitute bill. This would appropriate $57,200 from the local <br /> EEO Fund. Mr. Larry Johnson reviewed the Bill in its entirety. <br /> Following discussion by the Committee, Councilman Puzzello made a <br /> motion seconded by Councilman Beck. that Substitute Bill No. 114-84 <br /> go to Council favorably. The motion passed unanimously. Mr. <br /> Johnson then encouraged all Councilmen to attend the upcoming dinner <br /> at the Century Center on October 30th. <br /> Resolution 9E was then reviewed by Mrs . Rosenfeld. It addressed <br /> the Chapin Neighborhood Revitalization District. Mrs. Rosenfeld <br /> showed an aerial view of the six block area in question. CAC and <br /> the Board of Public Works gave favorable recommendations . Council- <br /> man Puzzelo made: a motion seconded by Councilman Beck that <br /> Resolution 9E go to Council favorably. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> Mrs.. Rosenfeld passed out the revised schedule for the 1985 <br /> CDBG submission process (copy attached) . <br /> Mrs. Farrand then gave an update regarding the tax abatement <br /> ordinance She noted that she received today the updates from the <br /> various departments regarding the amount of time spent on individual <br /> tax abatement petitions. (Copies attached) She also noted that <br /> Mrs. Schwartz contacted her and stated that it would be another two <br /> to three weeks before the geographic areas will be ready. Once all <br /> of that material is compiled a draft of the new ordinance will be <br /> prepared. The Committee then discussed the criteria of 100 new, or <br /> 100 new or retained jobs. Councilman Puzzello made a motion seconded <br /> by. Councilman Beck that the criteria that should be incorporated into <br /> the draft should be 100 new permanent jobs .
