Qinuttnitur Rood PERSONNEL AND FINANCE COMMITTEE <br /> On the Common (tomtit ill tip CV of*airily wend: <br /> • <br /> The June 18, 1981, meeting of the Personnel and Finance Committee was <br /> called to order at 10: 00 a.m. , by its chairman; Councilman Beverly D. Crone, <br /> in the Council -meeting room. <br /> • <br /> Persons in attendance included Councilmen: Voorde, McGann, Crone, and <br /> Szymkowiak; Jon Hunt, Marzy Bauer, Dave Anderson, and Kathleen Cekanski <br /> Farrand. - <br /> Councilman Crone noted that the meeting was called to discuss Bill No. <br /> 54-81, a bill which would establish Community Development Salaries, which <br /> was..:referred to the Committee at the last Council meeting. <br /> Marzy Bauer then passed out a handout entitled "1981-82 CD Salary Ord- <br /> inance" , a copy of which is attached. She noted that positions were given <br /> a 4. 56% increase plus $500, except multi-funded positions which were increased <br /> at the 4: 56% only. <br /> The Committee then discussed Marzy Bauer' s recommendation to amend Bill <br /> No. 54-81 by including the Neighborhood Services Corrdinator position as a <br /> separate item in the ordinance, and retaining the Urban Planner III position. <br /> It was noted that the salary for the individual presently in the Urban Plan- <br /> ner III position was $14,560 in 19.80. Presently the Urban Planner III posi- <br /> tion is funded at $16 , 000 for 1981, and recommended at $17;230. It was also <br /> noted that the position of City Engineer was incorrectly funded for it con- <br /> tained a 9. 76 increase resulting in $217. 00 for a total of $2 ,439. <br /> Following discussion by the Committee, Councilman McGann made a motion <br /> to amend Bill No. 54-81 by amending the position of Engineer to a 4. 56% <br /> increase resulting in $101. 00 increased for a total of $2, 323. 00 in the <br /> "proposed" column. Councilman Voorde seconded the motion. The motion un- <br /> animously passed. <br /> Councilman Voorde made a motion in accept the City Administration' s <br /> recommendation to include the position of "Neighborhood Services Coordinator" <br /> as a separate line item in Bill No. 54-81; seconded by Councilman Szymkowiak. <br /> The motion was passed. <br /> Councilman Voorde then made a motion to recommend Bill No. 54-81 favor- <br /> ably, as amended, to the Common Council. This motion was seconded by <br /> Councilman Szymkowiak. The motion was passed 4-0. <br /> There being no further business to come before the Committee, the meeting <br /> was adjourned at 10:45 a.m. <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> Beverly D.
