691 <br />Friday May 17th, 1907. <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. 14. All members pre -sent. <br />Hearing on Declaratory Resolution No. 426 for Brick Pavement on East Washington <br />street and Artesian avenue from Dill street to the West Race. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were Piled. <br />The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that -the benefits <br />to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estmated cost of said <br />improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Engineer riled estimated cost as follows: E. Washington St Brick...$ ,57 0 <br />Resolved that notices be pulklished In the South Bend Daily Times on the <br />l9th day of May and on the 25th day of May, 1907, to the effect that this Board will <br />receive bids for $aid improvements up to 10 A. M. on the 41th day of June, 1907. The <br />Board reserves the right to reject.any or all bids. <br />Petition filed for cement walk and Curb on Linden avenue from,lst alley west <br />of Johnson street to Olive street. Referred to the Engineer. <br />Petition of William Geltz and others asking that sidewalk on Carroll street at <br />the intersection of Vistula avenue be made in a uniform line was.referred to the Engineer. <br />Contract with Sanders & Egbert for 20,000 feet of White Oak Lumber was signed. <br />Petition from Auten and Norman Eddy Posts asking for a cemetery lot was filed <br />and referred to the City Cemetery Sexton for action. <br />Contract`"signed with W. H. Burke & Co for water connections on Rush street from <br />Monroe street to Sample streets Woodward avenue from Hudson avenue to Leland avenue. <br />Bond of C. H. Defrees Filed and approved and contract signed for Rush street <br />Brick pavement. <br />Contract signed, Bond filed and approved of Hoban & Roach for the Woodward avenue <br />& California street Brick Pavement. <br />Communication received from Goo Cutter relative to the change of location for <br />sidewalks on Anderson Court. Referred to the Engineer for investigation. <br />
