Friday April 19th, 1 <br />The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />Engineer filed assessment rell for grading on St. Louis street from South <br />Bend avenue to Corby street, under Improvement Resolution no. 413. <br />Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six <br />consecutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, Commencing on the 19th day of <br />April 1907, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of.;such <br />assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 7th day of May, 1907, at 7:15 P.M. <br />Resolved further,that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted <br />and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. 'Notice of this resolutionshall <br />be published on the 19th day o' April 1907, in the.South Bend Daily Times, stating <br />that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in <br />the City Hall on the 7th day of May 1907, at 7:15 P. M. <br />. Contract signed with Thomas Williams for water connections on west Jefferson <br />street from Chapin street to Walnut street. <br />Hearing given on Declaratory resolution for Pipe Sewer on Rush street f rom <br />Monroe street South 300 feet, under ii4provement Resolution No. 431. <br />In the above matter no further remonstrators appeared and no further remonstran- <br />ces were filed. All other remonstrances over -ruled. The Board therefore find in <br />each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to <br />the city of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements and.the <br />same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />Engineer filed estimated cost as fo.lows: Rush street Pipe Sewer ....... $656.00 <br />Be it resolved that notices be published in the South Bend Daily Times on the <br />19th day of April and on the 26th day of April 1907, to the effect that this Board <br />will receive bids for said improvements up to 10 A. M. on the 7th day of May <br />1907. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. <br />John C. Paxson asked that the lst alley south of Jefferson street from Main str- <br />eet to Lafayette street, be paved, with asphalt. <br />Light ordered at the corner of Laurel.& Fisher streets. <br />CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION NO. 2t. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That it <br />is desirable to appropriate Var the use of said city. <br />Begin 6.07 feet south, 7 deg: 15 min. west from the south west corner of lot 34 <br />in Lederers Sub of lot "A" John N. Lederer Revised Michigan Avenue Addition; thence <br />north 67 de#. 30 min. west to the center of Blaine avenue, as -now platted, thence <br />south 7 deg. 15 rin.' west 219.37 feet; thence north 67 deg. 30 min. west to the <br />south east corner of Out Lot "F" in Klingels addition ; thence south 7 deg. 15 min. <br />west to the north lineof LaPorte avenue: thence south 47 deg. 50 min. east of the <br />northerly line of LaPorte avenue to a point suth 7 deg. 15 min. east to the place <br />of beginning. <br />The following described property may be injuriously or beneficially affected <br />by such appropriation: <br />
