ORDINANCE NO. 74, <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9 OF THE <br /> SOUTH BEND MUNICIPAL CODE TO UPDATE <br /> SECTIONS CONCERNING FIRE PREVENTION <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> To bring the Municipal Code into conformity with State <br /> statutes and regulations governing fire prevention, certain <br /> amendments and additions to the South Bend Municipal Code , Chapter <br /> 9, entitled "Fire Prevention" are necessary. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION I. Chapter 9, Article 1, Section 9-1 of the South <br /> Bend Municipal Code is amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 9-1. Definition. <br /> As used in this chapter, the National-Fire-bade Indiana <br /> Fire Prevention Code , hereinafter referred to as the tee IFPC <br /> means the fire prevention code of the City of South Bend , Indiana. <br /> SECTION II. Chapter 9, Article 1, Section 9-2 of the <br /> South Bend Municipal Code is amended to read as follows : <br /> Section 9-2. Nationat-Fire-bode Indiana Fire Prevention <br /> Code - Adopted by Reference . <br /> The NFG IFPC, 1975 1985 edition, as promulgated by the <br /> latonar-Fire-Protection-Assactattan Indiana Fire Prevention and <br /> Building Safety Commission, together with any and all references <br /> thereto is made a part of this chapter with the same force and <br /> effect as though set out in full herein as the official fire <br /> prevention code of the City of South Bend , Indiana, except for such <br /> changes, additions or deletions as are specified in this chapter . <br /> At least two (2) copies of such fire prevention code with such <br /> amendments and supplements are on file and open for public <br /> inspection in the offices of the etty-Grer:k Fire Department and <br />
