505) Tues The Board met in regular session at 10 a. m. Mr. Papezynski absent. Hearing on Vacation Resolution No. 42, vacating public grounds at the corner of Vistula avenue and Jefferson street, was deferred until Tuesday August 21st, 19063, at 10 A. M. Petition for Sewer on Miner street from St. Peter street to South Bend avenue, Ref- erred to the Engineer for Specifications. Petition signed by.E. J. McErlain for Brick Pavement on N. Taylor street from Michigan avenue to Madis&n street. Referred to the Engineer for Specifications. Remonstrance filed by H. C. French et al against the Crescent avenue,Pipe.Sewer. Petition signed by D. W. Place et al for Brick Pavement on the Alley south of Wayne street from Fain to Lafayette streets. Referred to the Engineer for SpecificAtions. Bond of Tom. M. Bauer filed and approved and contract signed for Michigan avenue Balk & Grade Improvement. Engineer filed Assessment Rolls and final estimates for Asphalt Pavement on S. fain street from Washington street to Jefferson street, Asphalt Pavement on William street from Washington street to Colfax avenue; Asphalt Pavement on E. Jefferson street from Vistula avenue to Bridge; Cement sidewalk on Niles avenue from Crescent avenue to Inward street; Grade, Curb & Palk on Fassnacht avenue from Walnut street to Johnson street; Water Connections on South Bend avenue from Hill street to Notre Dame avenue ,and water Connections on Marietta & Bronson street from Vistula avenue to Sample street All under, Improvement Resolutions Nos. 323, 3242 325, 3572 3172 366 & 344 respectively. Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six con secutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the 8th day of August, 1906, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the 21st day of August 1906, at 7:16 P. M. Resolved further, that the entirework under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the £nth day of August 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the 21st day of August 1906, at 7:15 P. M. President.
