47` The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. Mr. Papczynski absent. Remonstrance filed by the Indiana, Illinois & Iowa R. R. Co against the opening of Huron street over their property. Contract awarded to James Nelson for the paving of the alley in the rear of the Central Fire Station. Barr Clay Block to be used Contract price $323.26 Petition filed for Curb & Walk on Coquillard street from South Bend avenue to Sorin str eet. Si gned by W. K. McHenry et al. Remonstrance filed by C N. Fassett et al against any kind of pavement on E. Washington street during the year of 1906. Engineer filed Assessment Rolls and final estimates for Water Connections on W. Washington street from College street to Olive street and•E. Jefferson street from Vistula avenue to river bridge, Sewer Connections on Columbia street from Wayne street to South end of Columbia street, All under Improvement Resolutions Nos 332, 333 &: 346 respectively. Resolved, that notices as to the amounts of assessments be published for six con- secutive days in the South Bend Daily Times, commencing on the23rd day of June 1906, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the amount of such assessments at its office in the City Hall on the loth day of July 1906, at 7:15 P. M. Resolved further,. that the entire work under the above contracts be accepted and approved and the final estimate thereon allowed. Notice of this resolution shall be published on the 23rd day of June 1906, in the South Bend Daily Times, stating that this Board will give a hearing on the acceptance of such work at its office in the City Hall on the loth day of July 1906, at 7:15 P. M. Remonstrance against the South Bend avenue Brick Pavement, over -ruled. Hearing given on Declaratory Resolution for Brick Pavement on South Bend, avenue from Hill street to Notre Dame avenue, under Improvement Resolution No. In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no further remonstrances were filed The Board therefore find in each and every case in said improvements that the benefits to the property and to the City of South Bend are equal to the estimated cost of said improvements and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved.
