TI'Le Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />Petition filed for an Are Lamp at tiie Corner of Calvert street and Leer street. <br />The Board having under consideration t"ie bids submitted on April 3rd for <br />various street improvements,.under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 3052 306, 307, 3051 <br />30`, 310 311 &- 314. resp., and the Board being advised in the'matte.r it is ordered_ <br />that all of"said bids should be and they are hereby rejected. <br />Whereas, the Board did on the 20th day ofFebruary 1906, pass certain resolutions <br />for the improvement of streets in this City, to -wit: - <br />Asphalt pavement on S. Fain <br />street from Was�iington street to Colfax avenue, Asphalt pavement on William street <br />from Colfax avenue to Washington street, Asphalt pavement and Grade, Curb F- Walk <br />on Jefferson street from Vistula avenue to River bridge, Brick Pavement on W. Wash <br />ington street from College street to Olive street, Brick Pavement on Leland avenue <br />from Marion street to Portage avenue, Brick Pavement on Cushing street from <br />Michigan avenue to Portage avenue, Pipe Sewer on Walnut street and Linden avenue <br />from Fassnacht avenue to Birdsell street, Pipe Sewer on Linden avenue from Meade <br />street to Anthony street. Under Improvement Resolutions Nos. 305, 306, 307, 309 <br />3092 3102 3112 314 respectively. <br />And Whereas It has come to the attention of this Board that an uncertainty <br />has arisen with reference to the issueing of bonds under said resolutions, <br />Therefore it is ordered by the Board that all of said resolutions should be <br />and they are hereby in all things resci.nded.. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 323. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That <br />an improvement be made of the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: <br />Asphalt Pavement on S. -Main street from Washington street toe,s.ror� �'fe Said <br />improvement shall be known and designated as "THE MAIN STREET ASPHALT PAVEMENT IMF- <br />ROVEMENT" and shall be constructed according; to the plans and specifications prepared <br />bythe City Civil Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution shall be <br />published on the 7th day of April and on the 14th day of April 1906, in the South <br />Bend Daily Times. This Board will give a hearing on this resolution at its office <br />in the -City Hall on the 17th day of April 1906, at 10 A. M. <br />A Bond or Bonds to be issued to the Contractor in payment for such work where <br />the property owner signs waiver required as according to law. Which said bonds shall <br />bear interest at the rate of five per cent per annum, payable as provided by law. <br />Adopted. this 6th day of April 1906. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC.WORKS. <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 324. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana: That <br />an improvement be made of.the kind, size, location and terminal points as follows: <br />Asphalt pavement on William street from Colfax avenue to Washington street.
