Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> Committe Reao <br /> The May 10,2004 meeting of the Zoning and Annexation Committee was called to order <br /> by its Chairperson,Council Member Ervin Kuspa at 3:53 p.m. in the Council Informal Meeting <br /> Room. <br /> Persons in attendance included Council Members Dieter,Kelly,Puzzello,Pfeifer, <br /> Varner,Kuspa,White,Coleman and Kirsits; City 1111Schalliol Carldl,ittrebh Planner Director Myers, <br /> Gary Gilot,Bernie Feeney,Robert L. Gummer, <br /> Rita Kopola,Terry Bland of the' ixfl`gtnh'rthunr and Kathleen Cekanski-Farrand,Council <br /> Attorney. <br /> Council.Member Kuspa noted that the Zoning and himself.xation Committee Members <br /> include Council Members Puzzello,Kelly,Coleman <br /> ill <br /> Council Member Kuspa stated that the first item <br /> at 505 est Kern.Road. HeBfurther <br /> No. 9-04 which is a rezoning request for the property <br /> noted that the attorney for the petitioner sent a letter consideration. <br /> t May 04(copy attached) <br /> requested that the Bill be withdrawn from further Council <br /> Council Member Kuspa noted that the next item on the Committee's agenda was Bill No. <br /> 14-04 which is a rezoning request for the property located at the southeast corner of Ironwood <br /> Road and Inwood Road. <br /> Jeff Myers,a Planner with Area Plan,noted that the Area Plan Commission held a public <br /> hearing on April 20,2004 and sends Bill No. 14-04 to the Council with a favorable <br /> recommendation. Mr.Myers stated that the new zoning ordinance became standards way 7th, <br /> and that the petitioner has the option of developing either under <br /> in place at the time of filing the rezoning petitioner or under the new regulations. He added that <br /> in 1997,this site received a favorable recommendation the Area lan living n ssi and was <br /> but <br /> later approved by the Council for a senior campus and independent/assisted <br /> that that rezoning has expired. <br /> Mr.Robert L. Gummer,NCARB,AIA and President of the Wisconsin company <br /> proposing the development,made the presentation. He stated that the proposal is for the <br /> construction of sixty(60)units in the 1st Phase of the om It�oHealth the 1 site requested <br /> ueit <br /> a senior living campus. Access to the site would be from <br /> to be rezoned is 19.6 acres. <br /> In response to a question from Dr. Varner,Mr. Gummer noted that there has been a <br /> reduction in the density from the 1997 proposal. <br /> Council Member Kuspa opened the hearing to the public.
