REGULAR MEETING AUGUST 10, 2021 158 <br />UNFAVORABLE RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE THE ALLEY AT 1106 <br />W. WESTERN AVE. <br />Ms. Maradik indicated that Peter Senf & Mindy Banks, have submitted a request to vacate the <br />above referenced alley. Ms. Maradik advised the Board is in receipt of unfavorable <br />recommendations concerning this Vacation Petition from Engineering and Community <br />Investment as it does not meet three (3) of the four (4) I.C. 36-7-3-13 criteria (1, 2, and 4). <br />Further, Police and Fire provided unfavorable recommendations, stating that the vacation would <br />limit emergency vehicle access. Engineering stated that Public Works could possibly grade the <br />alley to assist with drainage and potholes and asked that this be referred to the Streets <br />Department for assistance. Therefore, Mr. Molnar made a motion to send an unfavorable <br />recommendation to Council regarding the request for vacation.
