Zoning and Annexation Committee <br /> July 14, 2003 <br /> Page 2 <br /> Mike Stack, Public Relations Coordinator for the College Football Hall of Fame and formerly of <br /> WSBT spoke in favor of the proposed Bill. He noted that mr. Heintzelman runs an "outstanding <br /> business"which was visited by the firefighters from New York City when they were in town. Mr. <br /> Stack noted that having such a business is beneficial for developing community relations for <br /> visitors to our city. <br /> Ray Simmons then spoke in favor of the Bill. He noted that an establishment like Mr. <br /> Heintzelman's is a "jewel of a billiard parlor" based on his many travels and a great asset to the <br /> community. <br /> Kevin Sullivan spoke in favor of the Bill. He noted that he is an employee in the County <br /> Surveyor's Office. Such an establishment is one of the"finest around" with a good atmosphere. <br /> Terry Harlan spoke in favor of the Bill. He noted that he works on Hill Street. He participates in <br /> tournaments and believes that establishments like Oscars are a"class act". <br /> Following discussion, Council Member Coleman made a motion, seconded by Dr. Varner that Bill <br /> No. 40-03 be recommended favorably to Council. The motion passed. <br /> There was no miscellaneous business.
