South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -June 6, 2008 <br />3. APPROVAL OF CLAIMS (CONT.) <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Blake seconded by Dr. Varner <br />and unanimously carried, the Commission approved the <br />Claims submitted June 6, 2008, and ordered checks to <br />be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />Mr. Schalliol asked to move Item 6.B.(2) to the top of <br />New Business. There was no objection and the item <br />was so moved. <br />B. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Staff report on disposition of property in <br />the Airport Economic Development Area. <br />(1010 Bendix Drive, St. Joseph Regional <br />Medical Center) <br />Ms. Laurent noted that 1010 Bendix Drive is <br />a vacant building currently owned by Saint <br />Joseph Regional Medical Center in the <br />Airport Economic Development Area. It is <br />across the street from the LaSalle Square <br />shopping Center, a location central to the <br />strategic planning for commercial and <br />residential development that the Commission <br />has promoted and is now underway among <br />residents and business owners committed to <br />the area. This building is the intended site of <br />an exciting collaboration of SJRMC, <br />Memorial Hospital and the City of South <br />Bend as both a kickoff redevelopment project <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS <br />SUBMITTED JUNE 6, 2008, AND ORDERED THE <br />CHECKS TO BE RELEASED <br />THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />THERE WAS NO OLD BUSINESS <br />
