REGULAR MEETING JULY 13, 2021 137 Imagineering Enterprises, Inc., 1302 W. Sample St., South Bend, IN 46619 There being no further discussion, upon a motion made by Mr. Molnar, seconded by Mr. Gathers and carried by roll call, the renewal of the permits was approved. RATIFY APPROVAL AND/OR RELEASE CONTRACTOR, EXCAVATION, AND OCCUPANCY BONDS The Division of Engineering Permit Department recommended that the following bonds be ratified pursuant to Resolution 100-2000 and/or released as follows: Business Bond Type Approved/ Released Effective Date Exterior Solutions, LLC Contractor Released 06/28/2021 MNT Delivery Company, Inc. Excavation Released 06/17/2021 Peerless Midwest, Inc. Excavation Released 10/29/2021 AECON Technical Services, Inc. Excavation Released 06/28/2021 DMTM, Inc. Occupancy Approved 06/23/2021 R & R Excavating, Inc. Occupancy Approved 06/30/2021 Mr. Molnar made a motion that the bond's approval and/or release as outlined above be ratified. Mr. Gathers seconded the motion, which carried by roll call. Therefore, upon a motion by Mr. Molnar, seconded by Mr. Gathers, and carried by roll call, the Board ratified the preapproved claims payments. PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR Mr. Molnar asked if there was an engineer available who could explain how to handle situations in which shrubbery from private property encroaches upon the City's right-of-way, especially sidewalks in highly trafficked walking areas. He noted that neighbors have been approaching him about this concern. Attorney McDaniels responded that the appropriate entity to contact about this concern is Code Enforcement. Mr. Gilot and Ms. Maradik thanked the Board and the public for their time and flexibility with the first hybrid meeting of the Board of Public Works.
