The Board met in regular session at 10 A. M. All members present. <br />Bond of Harry N. Barnes filed and approved on Laurel street Brick Pavement. <br />Contract signed with Harr; N. Barnes for Laurel Street Brick Pavement. <br />Petition for the grading of Portage avenue from the I. I-. & I. R. R. to the City <br />Limits. Referred to the Engineer for Specifications. <br />Petition filed by property owners abutting on the east side of Howard park, asking <br />that the construction of a fence on the East line of said Park be abandoned. <br />The Board moved that the construction of said fence be deferred until July 1st, 1905 <br />Engineer reported grade on Blaine avenue and Cleveland avenue. <br />Same were approved. <br />Hearing given on Vacation Resolution No. 36 adopted the Ilth day of March, 1905. <br />vacation the following described property, -- <br />A strip of land twenty (20) feet wide East and West by one -Hundred thirty -tyro f <br />and one-half (132 1/2) febt long North and South, taken off of the West side of Lot No <br />Three (3) in Elliot Tutt's Addition to the City of South Bend. <br />The North and South alley East and adjoining lot No. one (1) and the North and <br />South alley between lots Nos Two (2) and Three (3) in Elliot Tutt's addition th the <br />City of South Bend. <br />The following portion of Robertson street in the City of South Bend: Beginning at <br />a point twenty (20) feet East of the North West corner of Lot No. Three (3) in said E. <br />Tutt's addition; thence running West to the North TVest corner of Lot No. Four (4); thence <br />North to the North line of Robertson street; thence East to a point due North of the place <br />of beginning; thence South to the place of beginning; being a portion of Robertson <br />street and of an Bast and West alley in E. Tutt's addition. <br />All North and South alleys between Swygart Street and Sample street in George W. <br />Swygart's Sub -Division of Bank Out Lots Nos. Sixty-three (63) and Sixty-four (64) of the <br />First Play, of Out Lots of the Town, now the_ City of South Bend, platted by the State <br />Bank of Indiana. <br />The East end of Swygart Street described Fs Hollows: Beginning at a point twenty <br />(20) Peet East of the South West corner of said Lot No. Twenty-eight (29) in said Sub - <br />thence East to the East end of said street; thence south to the South line of <br />.said street; thence West to a point due South of the place of beginning; thence North <br />to the -place of beginning. <br />That portion of an East and West alley in Daniel Garst's First Addition to <br />South Bend City, now part of the City of South Bend, described as follows: Beginning at a <br />point one (1) foot East of the North west corner of Lot No Two -hundred and forty-five <br />(245) of said Addition; thence North fourteen (14) feet; thence West to the West line of <br />said Garst's addition; thence South fourteen (14) feet; thence east to the place of <br />beginning. <br />In the above matter no remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed. The <br />Board therefore declare the above property in all things vacated. . <br />
