Tuesday July 26t h. 1 <br />IMPROVE'J"ENT RESOLUTION NO. 207. <br />Resolved by the Board of Public Works of the City of South Bend, Indiana:That <br />an improvement be made�of the kind, size, location and terminal ports as follows: <br />Pipe sewer on Napier street from Maple street to Walnut street. Said improvement <br />shall be known and designated as the "Napier Street Pipe Sewer " and shall be con- <br />structed according to the plans and specifications prepared by the City Civil <br />Engineer, filed herewith. Notice of this resolution and proposals for bids for <br />the execution of the above work shall be published on the 27 day of July and on the <br />3 day of Au€gust 1904,in the South lend Daily Times and the South Bend Daily Tribune <br />This Board will gi�,Te a hearing on this resolution at its office in the City Hall <br />on the 9 t h day of August 1904, at 7 :15 P. M. and will receive bids up to 10 A: M. <br />on the 10 day of August 1904. <br />Adopted this 26 day of July 1904. <br />BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br />Yl <br />SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY EVENING AT 7.15 P. M. <br />The Board met in special session at 7:15 P. M. All members present. <br />Hearing given on the assessment rolls and final estimates for Pipe Sewer on <br />Hill street, Pipe Sewer on E. LaSalle avenue, Bridge St., Sycamore street, Grade, <br />Curb & Walk on Lindsey street Pipe -Sewer on Michigan avenue all under im:_ rovement <br />resolutions Nos. 173, 1519 178, 187 respectively. <br />In the matter of the Pipe sewer on Michigan avenue and the Grade, Curb & Walk <br />on Lindsey street. No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed The <br />Board therefore find the property assessed. in said roll is benefitted in the amounts <br />of the assess ments as shown on said rolls, and that the assessment roll filed on the <br />12th day of July 1904 and the final estimate allgwed on the 12th day of July 1904 <br />should be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />In the matter of the Pipe Sewer on 'mall street and LaSalle avenue, Bridge street <br />Sycamore street, Philip Strichler of Hill street remonstrated stating that he was <br />assessed for 3*,6 feet more ground than he had. The Board therfore rebated him 4.3.08 <br />for the same. Mddge Leighton remonstrated stating that she had been assessed for <br />2 feet of ground which belonged to Sops is Becker. The Board there fore rebated her <br />fvr saiwe and charged the amount to the assessment of Sophia Becker. Emanuel R. Wills <br />of Sycamore street remonstrated stating that he .raving a river fronta ge should <br />be exempt from assessment. The Board after due consideration find that E. R. Wills <br />shouldbe rebated the amount of his aassessment but charged up for the tap same <br />costing $13.30. <br />The Bord find that the property described in said roll as amended is benefitted <br />in the amount of assessment as shown on said amended rolls and assessment roll <br />filed July 12, 1904 and final estimate allowen on the 12 day of July 1906, should <br />be and the same are hereby in all things ratified, confirmed and approved. <br />First hearing on Vacation resolution No. 30 adopted on the 12 day of July, <br />1904 vacating a part o f Foster street described as follows; Commence on the South <br />line of Howard street at the North east corner of Lot 11 in Stanfiedl <__nd Fosters <br />addition thence east on the soutl line of Howard street to the North west corner <br />of Lot_ 12 ins id ddit�ion, tf,ence south 198 feet to alley thence west on the North - <br />1 Niles averiuue'`fthence`�North westerly on the easterly line of Niles avenut to <br />the south east corner of lot 11 in said adddtion thence north to place of begining <br />Also comnienct at a point on the easterly line of Nilesp av* where St �e e_st line of <br />Lot 10 in said addition intersects same, thence North 28.9 ft to alleyNp odu ed to <br />the easterly line of Niles avenue, thence south easterly on easterly line of <br />Niles avenue to the place of begining. <br />Cj <br />No remonstrators appeared and no remonstrances were filed the Board therefore <br />declare the above property vacated. <br />
