CITY OF SOUTH BEND HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />(Audio Position 0:10:30) <br />Upon a motion by Joan Downs-Krostenko, seconded by Mary Brazinsky, and carried <br />by unanimous vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of <br />Appropriateness Application #2021-0127A. <br />Vote: 8-0. Eight in favor, none opposed. <br />COA #2021-0127A is approved. <br />ii. 2021-0205 119 LaPorte Avenue Local Landmark, Ordinance #8108-1990 <br />(Audio Position 0:12:20) <br />The staff report was presented by Elicia Feasel. <br />Staff Recommendation: The windows are in relatively good condition are repairable <br />but are overdue for routine maintenance (painting, re -roping, glazing). While <br />Staff recommends the applicant restore the original windows and install new <br />custom storm windows that replicate the meeting rail pattern of Cottage -style <br />windows, based on Group B Standards, Staff recommends approval of the <br />application items. <br />The applicant was represented by: <br />Alexis Torrance, 119 LaPorte Avenue <br />Eugenia Torrance, 119 LaPorte Avenue <br />The public was represented by: <br />Martin Mechtenberg, President, Near West Side Neighborhood Organization, <br />submitted a letter in support of the application. <br />After due consideration, the following action was taken <br />(Audio Position 0:33:18) <br />Upon a motion by Sarah Andrews, seconded by Mary Brazinsky, and carried by a six <br />to two vote, the Historic Preservation Commission APPROVES Certificate of <br />Appropriateness Application #2021-0205. <br />Vote: 6-2.
