SECTION IV. VACATIONS - Shall be earned as defined below: <br /> (a ) All city officers and employees whose anniversary date falls <br /> on or before December 31, 1986, were subject to the following vacation <br /> schedule for 1987: <br /> YEARS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE DAYS OF VACATION <br /> 1 but less than 5 10 <br /> 5 but less than 8 12 <br /> 8 but less than 16 15 <br /> 16 but less than 20 20 <br /> 20 but less than 25 26 <br /> 25 or more 28 <br /> For 1989, said officers and employees are entitled to the same <br /> total number of working days of paid vacation to which they were <br /> entitled for 1987. <br /> (a) All city officers and employees hired on or after January 1, <br /> 1987 shall be subject to the following vacation shedule: <br /> YEARS OF CONTINUOUS SERVICE DAYS OF VACATION <br /> 0 - 1 years 0 working days <br /> 1 - 2 years 5 working days <br /> 3 - 4 years 10 working days <br /> 5 -10 years 12 working days <br /> 11 -15 years 15 working days <br /> 16 -19 years 17 working days <br /> 20 -24 years 20 working days <br /> 25+ years 22 working days <br /> SECTION V. HOLIDAYS - Employees shall receive seven and one half <br /> designated holidays as approved by the Board of Public Works and <br /> two (2) additional non-designted holidays. An employee may choose to <br /> substitute these additional holidays for one of the following non- <br /> designated holidays: <br /> Washington 's Birthday <br /> Lincoln 's Birthday <br /> Martin Luther King's Birthday <br /> Columbus Day <br /> SECTION VI. BONUS - After July 1, 1989, non-union/non sworn <br /> employees shall receive a $400 bonus for 1989. <br /> Members of the Teamsters Union Local #364 shall receive a <br /> four hundred dollar ($400) bonus in January 1989. <br /> SECTION VII. In the event that a Local Option Income Tax <br /> becomes effective and tax income from that Local Option Income Tax is <br /> received by the City of South Bend in it' s General Fund in 1988 <br /> or 1989, the annual maximum salaries and wage rates for the job <br /> classifications listed in Section I shall be increased by 2'/. from <br />. . the amount listed for that year. <br /> SECTION VIII. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br /> from and after its passage by the Common Council and approval by the <br /> Mayor. <br /> Memb r of Common Council <br />
