Environmental Impact Statement <br />1) 1055 Riverside Drive <br />Mr. Hayes moved to confirm unanimous decision from the April <br />18, 1988 meeting to approve landscape plan; Mr. Newburn <br />seconded; motion passed. <br />2) Leland./Riverside - Streetlight <br />Mr. Hayes moved to confirm unanimous decision from the April <br />18, 1988 meeting for I & M's replacement of pole and <br />1 um i na i re ; Mr. Newburn seconded; motion passed. <br />3) 16021 Cleveland Rd. - LL <br />Mr. Herendeen moved to confirm unanimous decision from the <br />April 18, 1988 meeting to approve site plan for parking lot; <br />Mr. Newburn seconded; motion passed. <br />Petitioner requested approval of design for permanent sign <br />(see Appendices B, C, & D). Mrs. Choitz moved to approve <br />signage as presented with the stipulation that the HPC would <br />support a variance on the setback if owner seeks said <br />variance; Mr. Herendeen seconded; motion passed. <br />4) 14912 Brick Rd. - LL <br />Mr. Hayes moved to confirm unanimous decision from the April <br />18, 1988 meeting to demolish garage and construct a new one <br />(see Staff Report - Appendix E); Mr. Newburn seconded; motion <br />passed. <br />Owner requested approval to remove trees and brush from <br />backyard (see Staff Report - Appendix F and Landscape Report <br />Appendix 6 ). Mr. Newburn moved to approve staff <br />recommendation including permission to remove the large <br />mulberry tree; Mr. Hayes seconded; Mr. Oxian against; motion <br />passed. <br />5) 1207 E. Wayne - EW <br />Owner requested approval to remove 2 large elm trees in the <br />treelawn (see Staff Report - Appendix H). Mr. Hayes moved to <br />deny owner's request and accept staff recommendation which <br />states: 1) the trees are of historical importance; 2) the 2 <br />elms are the nicest that remain in the neighborhood, possibly <br />the city; 3) removal of trees would require approval from <br />Parks Department; Mr. Newburn seconded; Mr. Nimtz against, <br />Mrs. Petrass abstained; motion passed; vote 5-1-1. <br />May 16, 1988 PACE 2 <br />
