Call to Order <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:35 p.m. <br />1 II. Roll Call <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Mrs. Joann Sporleder; Mr. John Oxian; Mrs. Janeanne <br />Petrass; Mr. Odell Newburn; Mr. Herb Herendeen; Mr. <br />F. J. Nimtz; Mr. Charles Hayes; Mr. David Chapleau, <br />Deputy City Attorney; Ms. Lynette Jentoft-Nilsen, <br />Director; Mr. Brian Poland, Administrative <br />Assistant; Mrs. Elaine Fountain, Commission <br />Secretary. <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Mrs. Gina DeLaruelle; Mrs. Martha Choitz. <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Phil Cartwright, Leroy Troyer Assoc.; Mr. Sam <br />Jones, Leroy Troyer Assoc.; Mr. Ron Farrand, So. <br />Bend Community Schools; Dr. Monte Sriver, So. Bend <br />Community Schools; Mr. Roger Hulsey, Leroy Troyer <br />Assoc.; Ms. Marianne Surges, 126 S. Scott; Mr. Neil <br />Gilbert, 720 W. Washington. <br />III. A. Environmental Impact Statement <br />15 720 W. Washington - LL <br />Owner proposes to construct a 1 car garage and small storage <br />area, 14' x 24' x 12' with a 13' apron driveway. Owner also <br />requests the HPC to write a support letter to the BZA to <br />assist in obtaining a Variance in placement of the garage to <br />be 3' from the property line. Mr. Nimtz moved that the staff <br />report be accepted and a letter of support be written to the <br />BZA; Mrs. Petrass seconded; motion approved. <br />Owner also proposes to remove chicken wire fence between the <br />property line and replace it with redv.00d fencing on the east <br />side with final design approval by stiff. <br />July 18, 15,88 PAGE 1 <br />
