<br />APPROVAL OF REQUEST TO ADVERTISE FOR THE RECEIPT OF QUALIFICATIONS —
<br />LEAD HAZARD REDUCTION PRE -QUALIFIED CONTRACTORS REGISTRY (OLHCHH)
<br />In a memorandum to the Board, Ms. Liz Maradik, Community Investments, requested
<br />permission to advertise for the request for qualifications to establish a registry of pre -qualified
<br />lead contractors who will be notified of opportunities to bid on Lead Hazard Reduction Program
<br />work. Ms. Maradik clarified that this request is similar to the last, but is from a different funding
<br />source. Therefore, upon a motion made by Mr. Molnar, seconded by Mr. Gathers and carried by
<br />roll call, the above request was approved.
<br />APPROVE TITLE SHEET— EDDY AND HOWARD STREET SEWER RELOCATION AND
<br />WATER MAIN LOOP — PROJECT NO. DP 20-020
<br />Ms. Sue Ellen Doudrick, Engineering, advised that the Title Sheet for the above referenced
<br />project was being presented at this time for execution. Upon a motion made by Mr. Molnar,
<br />seconded by Mr. Gathers and carried by roll call, the above referenced Title Sheet was approved
<br />and signed.
<br />ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 04-2021 — A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL
<br />PROPERTY FROM THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
<br />Upon a motion made by Mr. Molnar, seconded by Mr. Gathers and carried by roll call, the
<br />following Resolution was adopted by the Board of Public Works:

<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, BOARD OF PUBLIC
<br />WORKS ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF REAL PROPERTY FROM
<br />THE SOUTH BEND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
<br />WHEREAS, the City of South Bend, Indiana, Board of Public Works (the "Board")
<br />exists pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-4-9-5, holds real property owned by the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana (the "City") pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-9-6-3, and is authorized to
<br />accept the transfer such property from another governmental entity pursuant to Indiana Code
<br />Section 36-1-11-8; and
<br />WHEREAS, the South Bend Redevelopment Commission, the governing body of the
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana, Department of Redevelopment (the "Commission"), exists and
<br />operates pursuant to Indiana Code Section 36-7-14 (the "Act"); and
<br />WHEREAS, the Commission owns two parcels of real property in the River West
<br />Development Area of the City, commonly known as 405 Dubail Avenue, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />and more particularly described on Exhibit A (the "Property"); and
<br />WHEREAS, the Board desires to obtain title to the Property pursuant to Ind. Code 36-1-11-8
<br />for the purpose of donating the Property to United Way of St. Joseph County, Inc., an Indiana
<br />non-profit and tax exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, for the
<br />purpose of the development of a community center (the "Purpose"); and
<br />WHEREAS, the Commission adopted its Resolution No. 3529 on February 11, 2021,
<br />authorizing the conveyance of the Property to the Board for the Purpose.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br />INDIANA, BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AS FOLLOWS:
<br />1. The Board hereby accepts the conveyance of the Property from the Commission
<br />in accordance with Indiana Code Section 36-1-11-8.
<br />2. The Board authorizes David Relos or Andrew Netter of the City's Department of
<br />Community Investment to present for recordation in the Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph
<br />County, Indiana, the deed conveying the Property to the Board, as well as to execute any other
<br />document necessary to affect the Board's acceptance of the conveyance.
<br />3. This Resolution will be in full force and effect upon its adoption by the Board.
