Washington. Christa Nayder explained the need for Council <br /> action reported that the APC recommended favorably on both petitions. Both the owner <br /> Manual Villegas and his attorney Mike Lipski briefly described the project which Mr. <br /> Villegas hoped would convert a vacant building into an indoor/outdoor soccer facility as <br /> well as a rentable banquet facility. Derek Dieter raised some concern about potential <br /> problems at a banquet venue especially where alcohol was served. In the end he and all <br /> others supported a motion by David Varner and a second by Gavin Ferlic that the bill go <br /> favorably. <br /> The last item for consideration Bill No. 51-12 would allow the construction of a group <br /> home by the Logan Center at 1243-1247 Campeau. Christa Nayder explained the need <br /> for the rezoning and special exception. She also reported the BZA ruled favorably on <br /> both. Pat Lynch, the architect for the home reported the positive support of the NNRO <br /> and surrounding neighbors who spoke at the BZA hearing. Fred Ferlic moved and Gavin <br /> Ferlic seconded a motion to send favorably which all supported.
