REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 17, 2020 230 <br />The Regular Meeting of the Board of Public Works was convened at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, <br />December 17, 2020, by Board President Gary A. Gilot. The meeting was streamed live to the <br />public with Board President Gary A. Gilot and Board Members Elizabeth Maradik, Joseph <br />Molnar, and Jordan Gathers present. Also present was Board Attorney Clara McDaniels and <br />Clerk of the Board Linda Martin. Mr. Gathers confirmed the presence of the Board members <br />with a roll call. Mr. Gilot asked that anyone wishing to make a comment on agenda items please <br />use the public Q&A feature. <br />APPROVE MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETING <br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Mr. Molnar and carried by roll call, the <br />minutes of the Regular Meeting of the Board held on December 8, 2020, were approved. <br />ELECTION OF 2021 BOARD OF WORKS PRESIDENT <br />Mr. Gilot stated it has been an honor and a privilege to serve the city for the last twenty (20) <br />years in combined service, and he would like to continue to serve on the Board but transfer to a <br />Board Member role. He stated the most qualified and longest serving member with the most <br />experience, and obvious choice would be Ms. Maradik. He noted it would be good to have a <br />woman of her dedicated experience fulfill the role and it is a privilege to nominate Liz Maradik <br />as the 2021 President of the Board of Works. Mr. Molnar seconded the motion, which carried by <br />roll call. <br />OPENING OF BIDS — TWO (2), MORE OR LESS, 2020 OR NEWER, TRAILER MOUNTED <br />ANTI -ICING SYSTEM — SPEC U (PR-00005495) <br />This was the date set for receiving and opening of sealed bids for the above referenced project. <br />The Clerk tendered proof of publication of Notice in the South Bend Tribune, which was found <br />to be sufficient.
