<br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 6 OF THE
<br /> MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND,
<br /> ENTITLED "BUILDING"
<br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT:
<br /> The Common Council for the City of South Bend has determined
<br /> that it is necessary to amend Chapter 6 of the Municipal Code of the
<br /> City of South Bend, entitled "Building," in order to provide for a
<br /> schedule of building and related permit fees that more accurately
<br /> represent the cost to the City to administer the Building Department
<br /> and to incorporate into said Chapter new and current editions of
<br /> rules, regulations and codes recognized on a state and national level
<br /> as setting forth adequate and appropriate standards for building and
<br /> related activities.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA AS FOLLOWS:
<br /> SECTION I . Chapter 6, Article 1, of the South Bend
<br /> Municipal Code is amended as follows:
<br /> Section 6.4. Permit Fees.

<br /> Building Code, the fees to be charged for the issuance of permits by
<br /> the Department shall be paid at the time the permit is issued.
<br /> (1)Permits issued for Aall new construction and all
<br /> alterations, repairs and remodeling shall be subject to the following
<br /> fee schedule:
