Century <br /> November 3 , 1989 <br /> TO: Members of the South Bend Common Council <br /> RE : Century Center Maintenance/Improvements : <br /> Request for Ordinance <br /> It is requested that you consider and give approval of an ordinance <br /> appropriating a maximum of $17 , 842 . 00 from the Century Center <br /> Preventive Maintenance and Improvement Fund. This appropriation of <br /> funds is for the necessary repairs and renovation to place the <br /> Center ' s boilers in good operating condition which includes: <br /> replacing deteriorated refractory, complete retubing, installing new <br /> gaskets, replacing linkages and bushings, introducing soft water to <br /> the boiler feed, and cleaning and adjusting burners of both boilers, <br /> including labor and parts. <br /> Thank you for your consideration. <br /> LAA■;Ime %-P -t-ipt---t-- <br /> lP <br /> Brian R.
