• <br /> ORDINANCE NO. ?i0 I a- o <br /> AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING $17 ,842. 00 FROM THE CENTURY CENTER <br /> PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> REPAIR OF THE HEATING BOILERS AT THE CENTURY CENTER FACILITY <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br /> The Century Center facility is owned by the Civic Center <br /> Building Authority and leased to the City of South Bend and is <br /> managed under the control of the Century Center Board of Managers. <br /> The Century Center Board of Managers has determined that <br /> it is in the best public interest to repair the boilers of the <br /> Century Center facility, specifically, retubing both boilers, <br /> installing a new refractory, and adjusting the burners, etc. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION I. <br /> The amount of $17,842 . 00 is herby appropriated and ordered <br /> set apart out of the Century Center Preventive Maintenance and <br /> Improvement Fund for the purchase and installation of the <br /> following: <br /> a. Repair of the boilers, including <br /> retubing of both boilers <br /> b. Installation of new Refractory for <br /> both boilers <br /> c. Checking and replacing the doors, <br /> repairing/replacing the linkage <br /> and adjusting the burners for both <br /> boilers. <br /> TOTAL $17,842.00 <br /> SECTION II . <br /> This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and <br /> after its passage by the Common Council and Approval by the Mayor. <br /> L VEAL <br /> M.
