The primary purpose of this appropriation is to replace <br /> captial equipment expenditures in the General Fund which were <br /> cut during the budget process last year and reducing the <br /> insurance account which can now be projected to require less <br /> funding. <br /> The reduction in the insurance account is the result of <br /> lower projected costs of the new insurance plan which was <br /> implemented effective March 1 of this year. As you may recall, <br /> we have increased the deductible to $500.00 per family and <br /> changed the co-pay factor from 90%/10% to 80%/20% for most <br /> employees. <br /> We anticipate making additional transfers in the General <br /> Fund as well as other funds towards the end of the year.
