The project includes the furnishing of all equipment, material, insurance, and labor for the repair <br />of various channel and retaining wall cracks, removal and replacement of sidewalk, and a flap <br />valve repair along the West side of the East Race under the Colfax Avenue bridge within the City <br />of South Bend, Indiana. <br />2. The Contractor shall preserve and protect all surrounding property, structures, tenants, visitors and <br />their property from damage caused by the Contractor’s operations. <br /> <br />XVII. PLANS <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: City of South Bend Design and Construction Standards <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. The plans consist of 5 Sheets. <br />2. The work shall conform to the general description and scope described in the plans. <br />3. The drawings are schematic in nature. <br /> <br />XVIII. QUOTE REQUIREMENTS <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 102.01 <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. The Contractor shall submit the following fully executed documents with his Quotation: <br />a. Contractor’s Quote for Public Works. <br /> <br />XIX. MOBILIZATION AND DEMOBILIZATION <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specifications Section 110 <br />B. Additions: <br /> <br />1. The Lump Sum (LS) unit price for this item shall not be more than five (5%) percent of the total of all <br />other quote items of the proposal. <br />2. For payment purpose, the mobilization portion of this item will be limited to 75% of the LS price. The <br />remaining portion will be considered as demobilization when work is completed and upon final site <br />cleanup. <br /> <br />XX. CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING <br /> <br />A. Prevailing Specifications: 2020, INDOT Standard Specification Sections 105.08(b), 105.08(c) <br />B. Additions: <br />C. <br />1. The Contractor will provide all work required under this item. <br />2. The Engineer will be responsible for the horizontal and vertical control points as shown on the <br />plans. <br />3. The Contractor will be responsible for all the horizontal alignment from the Engineer's control points <br />and also the vertical grades shown on the Plans from the Engineer's benchmarks. <br />4. The Contractor shall be responsible for witnessing the horizontal and vertical points, establishing <br />construction limits, and maintenance of same for the duration of the project.
