Engine: <br />A turbo charged inline six cylinder electronic controlled <br />/NO <br />diesel engine, with no less than 250 hp. Emergency <br />shutdown system for low oil, high water temperature. <br />Radiator fan to be modulate type. Air filters shall be <br />replaceable paper type. Oil filters shall be full flow type. <br />Fuel system to include primary and secondary filters and <br />fuel/water separator. Air cleaner restriction indicator. <br />Engine warranty to be 5 year/100,000 miles. <br />Cooling: <br />Heaviest available for model bid. System shall be <br />®/ NO <br />equipped with overflow recovery system, corrosion <br />resistor mechanism, and sight glass. Permanent anti- <br />freeze set to minus 35 degrees. <br />Transmission: <br />Allison automatic transmission 3500 RDS series or <br />M/No <br />equivalent. Furnished with transmission temperature <br />gauge, internal oil filter, and oil cooler. Allison extended <br />service coverage shall be included, 5 year/unlimited <br />miles. <br />Fuel Tank: <br />50 gallon minimum capacity. Tank to be marked "diesel <br />/ NO <br />fuel". Davco Series 243 heated fuel/water separator or <br />equal located in the engine compartment. Tank to supply <br />sweeper and chassis engines. 6 gallon minimum DEF <br />tank to be included. <br />Electrical: <br />Two (2) maintenance free batteries, 1800 CCA, <br />(M/NO <br />alternator 160 amp minimum, solid state circuit <br />protection system. Lighting per DOT specifications, all <br />electrical connections to be waterproof. LED stop, tail <br />and turn lights. Power window and locks to be included. <br />Frame: <br />120,000 PSI frame. Heavy duty single rail. Frame to <br />(M/NO <br />have section modules of 15.00 and RBM of 1,200,000 <br />in/lbs minimum. Front and rear tow hooks, heavy duty <br />steel front bumper. <br />Brakes: <br />Dual air brake system: Front cam 16.5" x 5", rear cam <br />ED/NO <br />16.5" x 8.62". Bendix AD -9 Air Dryer with heater or <br />equal. Automatic slack adjusters, full vehicle anti-lock <br />brakes and dust shields. <br />Paint: <br />Cab and sweeper shall be furnished with two (2) coats of <br />/ <br />standard white, Du Pont Imron paint. <br />NO <br />Steering: <br />Chassis manufacture dual operator's stations with dual <br />ED/NO <br />steering locations, for safety only one operators station to <br />function at a time.
