(3/13/2008) John Byorni - rezoning of property at corner of Lynnwood and Cleveland Page 1
From: "heede @netzero.net' <heede @netzero.net>
To: <jbyorni @co.st - joseph.in.us>
Date: 3/12/2008 9:46 PM
Subject: rezoning of property at corner of Lynnwood and Cleveland
Dear Mr. Byorni:
As a resident of Shellbark Avenue, I do not want the property at the corner of Lynnwood and Cleveland
to be rezoned for the purpose of building an eating place. We already have seven eating places within a
half mile radius and another one is not needed.
In the warm weather, when the windows are open, we get the smells from some of these restaurants.
We also get the trash along our street of cups, plates, napkins and bags with half eaten food in them. As
residents, we have to pick this stuff up and it isn't a pleasant task at times.
Cleveland is a busy street and with more traffic ,exiting our street will be very dangerous. At times I wait
a good while to safely enter Cleveland.
Also, I am afraid the property will have its top soil taken off and then left to grow in weeds and create
another good place for people to thrown their garbage. We already have that just east of Shellbark. The
look of that property has down graded the value of our property. Residents work hard to maintain a nice
look neighborhood and we don't want it all ruined.
Please consider the residents of the neighborhood when making a final decision. thank you for your
time.
Eleanor A.
