The chevron pattern shall slant <br />downward on both sides on the rear of the vehicle at an angle of 60 degrees, <br />pointing in the direction of the bottom rear corner of the tailboard. The pattern should <br />resemble an inverted V with the point at the top center of the ambulance. <br />Y N <br />25.6 MAIN SCOTCHLITE STRIPE <br />A white main Scotch lite stripe shall be provided, "Straight" design on the chassis <br />and body sides (including the rear body). It shall start at the front of the module and <br />run along each side of the body. The main stripe shall wrap around the rearward <br />section of the body, completing the perimeter. The main stripe shall not exceed 14 <br />inches in width. Scotch lite color, stripe dimension and layout shall be provided by <br />the department after award of bid. <br />25.7 PINSTRIPING <br />There shall be 1/4" wide black vinyl pinstripes around the entire perimeter of the <br />body, positioned above and below the main color stripes. <br />Y)( N <br />25.8 RUBRAIL SAFETY STRIPE <br />There shall be a 3/4" wide red reflective stripe ran through the center of the "C" style <br />rub rail. <br />Y lv N_ <br />25.9 MARKINGS <br />A reflective graphics and lettering package shall be supplied and installed to match <br />the Department's most recent ambulances. Included shall be Star of Life decals, <br />Department door logos, numbers, and all lettering. <br />Y2—(N <br />26.0 OPERATOR'S MANUAL <br />A vehicle owner's manual (reference handbook) for the ambulance shall be provided <br />in an 8 1/2" x 11" three-ring hard cover loose leaf binder. It shall contain copies of <br />the chassis manufacturer's warranties and a full set of factory repair manuals for the <br />engine, transmission, and chassis, including wiring schematics. The bidder shall also <br />provide all available troubleshooting software for engine, transmission, and chassis. <br />Successful bidder shall also provide copies of the ambulance manufacturer's <br />warranties and operating/service instructions, component manufacturer's equipment <br />information, installation, operating, service instructions, warranties, etc., and a <br />complete wiring diagram or schematic with circuits and components clearly and <br />accurately labeled. Verification of the chassis pre -delivery inspection and a copy of <br />the ambulance manufacturer's quality assurance form with all of the data referred to <br />in Section AA-1.10 shall be supplied should the department request them. <br />YX_N <br />26.1 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS <br />To provide a safe working environment for emergency medical technicians to provide <br />care of patients, this emergency vehicle must be operated in the safest manner <br />possible.
