valve from the interior of the vehicle shall be by means of a hinged .250" thick <br />Plexiglas® door in the forward wall of the action area. This opening shall be trimmed <br />with a black, ABS formed bezel to protect the Technician's hands and provide a <br />finished opening. The compartment shall be vented through the exterior door with a <br />minimum 28 square inch opening. The vent opening shall be covered with a <br />polished aluminum vent cover. It shall be attached with stainless screws. The <br />oxygen cylinder retention bracket shall be mounted to the wall of the compartment by <br />Grade 8 bolts tapped into a .250" aluminum plate welded onto the inboard side of the <br />compartment wall. This retention bracket must meet or exceed AMD Standard 003, <br />Oxygen Retention System. The finished oxygen system including regulator, contents <br />gauge, hoses, outlets and flow meter must meet or exceed the requirements of AMD <br />Standard 015, Ambulance Main Oxygen System Test. <br />Y N <br />15.0 WIRING MODULE <br />An angled cabinet forward of the rear facing Technician's seat shall house the main <br />bank of electrical components. Adequate ventilation shall be supplied through two (2) <br />polished metal, louvered vents located near the top and bottom of the door. <br />YN <br />15.1 The cabinet shall have a vertically hinged door and shall be provided with a <br />locking stainless -steel round latch. This door shall hinge on the left side for ease of <br />maintenance and repair. <br />Y N <br />16.0 WALK-THROUGH WITH POCKET DOOR <br />There shall be an opening approximately 52" high x 20" wide between the chassis <br />cab and the box module. <br />Y�C N <br />16.1 An aluminum partition wall framed with .125" x 2" x 2" aluminum tubing placed <br />on 16" centers and plated with .060" aluminum formed and welded to the roof, both <br />sides, and floor shall be installed. The patient compartment side of the partition shall <br />be covered with 1/4" plywood laminated with a minimum of .028" plastic. The driver's <br />side of the partition shall be covered with the OEM wall as well as a mildew resistant <br />marine style carpet of a color that matches the cab interior colors. Y <br />Y `v N <br />17.0 EQUIPMENT FURNISHED <br />The ambulance cab shall be equipped with an OEM supplied in -dash air conditioner <br />and a hot water heater. The patient compartment shall be equipped with a <br />combination hot water heater/air conditioner and a power exhaust vent. Front and <br />rear heaters and air conditioners shall operate as separate and independent <br />environmental systems. The controls for the rear environmental systems shall be <br />located in the action area switch panel. The addition of the rear HVAC system shall <br />have no deleterious effect upon the chassis system and especially the windshield <br />defroster system as described in FMVSS 103, Windshield Defrosting and Defogging <br />System. <br />Y N <br />17.1 A combination heater/air conditioner having an air output of 650 cfm at 0 static <br />pressure, a cooling capacity of 32,000 BTU and a heating capacity of 35,000 BTU <br />shall be installed above the walk-through door on the front bulkhead. There shall be <br />two insulated plenums running the full length of the modular body in the ceiling with <br />(4) adjustable outlet vents in each plenum. There shall also be one adjustable outlet <br />vent on the front bulkhead. This system shall be certified to KKK standards by a <br />
