countertop designed for efficiency and accessibility. The action area shall be located <br />to the right of the CPR seat in the street side cabinet wall and accessible from the <br />Squad Bench also. The countertop shall have dimensions of approximately 23.5" <br />wide x 18" deep with a .750" lip to prevent items from sliding off the work surface. <br />The countertop surface and lips shall be laminated with a minimum of .028" <br />Formica® and both horizontal and vertical corner seams shall be sealed the full <br />length of the seam to prevent seepage of spilled liquids. For the Technician's safety, <br />the lower horizontal edge of the action area rear overhead cabinet shall be trimmed <br />with fabric backed padded vinyl. The foam padding shall be .375" thick high -density <br />foam. <br />11.11 OVERHEAD CABINET <br />A cabinet shall be installed above the supply cabinet and shall be provided with one <br />[1] adjustable shelf. <br />11.11.1 It shall have "restocking type" Plexiglas doors. The doors shall slide and flip - <br />up for easy, full width access. <br />11.11.2 A full length aluminum handle shall be provided on each door. <br />11.12 SUPPLY CABINET <br />A supply cabinet shall be provided in the rearward section of the street side interior, <br />below the overhead cabinet. It shall be accessible from both the interior and the <br />exterior (D4) compartment. <br />11.12.1 It shall have vertically hinged, swing -out doors backed with aluminum <br />diamond plate. <br />11.12.2 A stainless Steel Round Southco latch (or equal) with a roller ball catch shall <br />be provided on each door. <br />12.0 KNOX EMS DRUG VAULT STREETSIDE CABINET <br />One (1) customer supplied Knox Med Vault model #5502 shall be installed in the street side <br />cabinet. Exact location shall be determined at pre -build. A 12-volt constant power source shall <br />be supplied to the installation area. <br />13.0 PATIENT COMPARTMENT EXHAUST VENT <br />Detmar #751 A (or equal) three -speed power exhaust vent having a 240-cfm air flow <br />rating shall be installed in the upper left side rear wall, with approximate dimensions <br />of 6" wide x 8" high. The resister coil shall be mounted in the fan air flow. A switch <br />shall be mounted at the right hand of the technician in the action area switch <br />console. A positive closure to prevent destabilization of the patient compartment <br />shall be provided. <br />14.0 OXYGEN COMPARTMENT <br />The oxygen cylinder storage compartment shall be located in the street side front <br />compartment D1.
