11.6 WRITING DRAWER BELOW ACTION AREA <br />A writing drawer shall be provided below the action area, in the rearward position. It <br />shall have approximate dimensions of 2 3/4" high x 14" wide x 15" deep. It shall <br />have a Plexiglas writing surface with flush mounted hinges at the rearward section, <br />so that when the tray is full extended, the writing surface can be lifted to allow easy <br />access to a storage area below. In the closed position, it shall be flush with the front <br />edge of the cabinetry. The storage area shall be large enough to hold writing <br />instruments, a bound notebook, calculator or small miscellaneous items. <br />Y_X_N_ <br />11.7 CABINET BELOW ACTION AREA <br />A storage cabinet shall be provided below the 1 st action area, in the forward position. <br />This cabinet shall be made of the same materials as the rest of the cabinets. This <br />cabinet is designed for inverter, miscellaneous or radio module storage. <br />Y_X_N_ <br />11.7.1 It shall have sliding Plexiglas doors. <br />11.7.2 A full length, aluminum handle shall be provided on each door. <br />Y_X_N <br />11.8 LOWER STREETSIDE CABINET <br />A cabinet approximately 16" wide x 12" high and full depth shall be provided under <br />the 2nd action area. <br />11.8.1 It shall have tilt -out door. <br />Y_X_N <br />11.8.2 A round stainless steel SouthCo latch (or equal) shall be provided on the <br />door. <br />Y_X_N <br />11.9 DOUBLE CABINET <br />There shall be a double cabinet above the CPR seat. The cabinet shall be sized <br />to be compliant with the KKK 1822 revision F specification. <br />11.9.1 It shall have a single 3/8" flip -up Plexiglas door with hold -open devices. <br />Y_X_N_ <br />Y X N <br />11.9.2 A stainless Steel Round Southco latch (or equal) shall be provided on the <br />door. <br />Y_X_N <br />11.10 SECOND ACTION AREA <br />The 2nd Action Area, the Technician's secondary work center, shall be an open <br />countertop designed for efficiency and accessibility. The action area shall be located <br />to the right of the CPR seat in the street side cabinet wall and accessible from the <br />Squad Bench also. The countertop shall have dimensions of approximately 23.5" <br />wide x 18" deep with a .750" lip to prevent items from sliding off the work surface. <br />The countertop surface and lips shall be laminated with a minimum of .028" <br />Formica® and both horizontal and vertical corner seams shall be sealed the full <br />length of the seam to prevent seepage of spilled liquids. For the Technician's safety, <br />the lower horizontal edge of the action area rear overhead cabinet shall be trimmed <br />
