switches shall be moisture resistant, Euro-style, rocker -type, and shall be UL listed <br />and CSA approved. Each switch shall have one or more LED indicator lights integral <br />to the switch rocker indicating the function status. Switches may be simple ON/OFF <br />type or multi -position rockers or rotary, stepped -position switches, depending upon <br />their specific function. The switch function legends shall be engraved plastic inserts. <br />The backlighting shall light the words themselves rather than the background. <br />Backlighting and switch perimeter lighting shall be accomplished with electro- <br />luminescent light strips attached to the backside of the switch panel. This type of light <br />source shall be used for consistent light output, low amp draw, and extended service <br />life. The switch panel shall contain the following switches and controls: <br />Heat/Cool Fan Speed Control: Rotary, stepped -position control selecting Hi, Med, <br />Lo, Off <br />Heat/Cool Mode Selector: Two -position rocker control selecting Heating or Cooling <br />function <br />Left Dome Lights: Three -position rocker control selecting Lo, Off, Hi for curbside <br />dome lights <br />Right Dome Lights: Three -position rocker control selecting Lo, Off, Hi for street side <br />dome lights <br />Suction Pump: ON/OFF control selecting Thomas suction pump <br />Spare Switch: (1) Spare switch and (3) Blank positions for future use <br />Patients Status Buzzer, If Specified: Push button control activating buzzer to signal <br />change in patient status <br />Patient Status Indicator Lights, (3) Locking push button controls, Red, Yellow, Green, <br />selecting indication of patient status, signal to front switch panel <br />Exhaust Fan Control: Rotary, stepped -position control selecting Hi, Med, Lo, Off for <br />patient compartment exhaust fan. <br />Y_X_N <br />11.3 RADIO CUTOUT <br />An angled housing 5"H X 9" W for two-way radio with power/ground and ignition <br />studs shall be provided in the forward section of the overhead squad bench cabinet. <br />A coax cable from this housing shall run to center of mod roof. A 1/4" black Kydex <br />cover shall also be provided. <br />Y_X_N <br />11.4 SPEAKER SYSTEM <br />Two (2) speakers shall be provided and mounted in the rear module ceiling. They <br />shall be connected to the cab AM/FM radio. A separate volume control and fader <br />shall be provided in the rear action area. <br />Y_X_N_ <br />11.5 ACTION AREA OVERHEAD CABINET <br />A cabinet shall be installed above the action area and shall be provided with one [1] <br />adjustable shelf. <br />Y X N <br />11.5.1 It shall have "restocking type" Plexiglas doors.
