City of South Bend Central Services Division <br />Fire Service, Inc./Wheeled Coach Ambulance <br />Specification <br />.�1 <br />Two Grover Airhoms shall be installed on the side of the cab hood. The airhoms <br />shall be 24.5" long. The system shall be plumbed to the OEM air compressor. <br />SIREN/HORN SWITCHING <br />The siren shall be switched through the horn ring. <br />AIR HORN SWITCHING <br />The air horn shall be switched with a foot switch located per specification. <br />A backup alarm with a cut off switch shall activate when the vehicle is shifted <br />into reverse. The alarm shall automatically be reset and engage when the vehicle <br />is placed in reverse again. The device must meet OSHA and SAE J994 <br />requirements, and shall be rated (SAE) for Type C or B. <br />VEHICLE EXTERIOR LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS <br />The basic exterior ambulance lighting shall comply FMVSS standard number <br />108 and the requirement herein and include: <br />1. Amber front, rear directional signals, red brake and hazard warning <br />lights. <br />2. Front and rear side marker lights. <br />3. Back up light(s). <br />4. Loading lights. <br />5. Clearance lights <br />6. Ambulance emergency lights. <br />7. Flood lights. <br />8. Spotlight(s) <br />10070-0003 11 /05/20 <br />39 <br />
