23.3 SIGN <br />Two self-adhesive "NO SMOKING OXYGEN EQUIPPED" and "FASTEN <br />SEATBELT" sign (1) shall be installed in the 1st action area. / <br />24.0 OXYGEN <br />The medical oxygen system shall be capable of storing and supplying a minimum of <br />3000 liters of oxygen. A suitable high-pressure hose shall be provided. The <br />concealed oxygen supply hose shall be .250" ID, .50" OD nylon base with polyester <br />f iber reinforcing. This electrically conductive hose shall be ce rtified to 1,875 psi and <br />have a 7 ,500-pound burst rating . The fittings shall be DISS and fl are and be <br />securely crimped to the barbed fittings by means of compressed copper s leeves. <br />Oxygen supply hose shall be routed through the ceiling of the ambulance body and <br />be secured with non-abrasive plastic "C11 clamps. Oxygen lines should not be <br />encased in insulation and s hould be free moving to enable easier maintenance and <br />repai r. The enti re oxygen system shall be subjected to a 155-psi leak test for 24- <br />hours befor e installation of panels or covers that may obsc ure or hide the system <br />components . After the vehic le is completed , a test as prescribed by AMO Standard <br />015 shall be conducted for a period of four (4) hours to i nsure system integrity. This <br />test shall be performed using nitrogen gas to purge the lines of all moisture and <br />foreign debris. Upon completion of the test, the lines shall be bled free of nitrogen <br />and capped. This medical oxygen system s hall meet or exceed AMO Standard 015, <br />A m bulance Main Oxygen System Test. <br />24.0.1 The oxygen system shall have three (3) outlets, (2) on action area wall and (1) <br />over squad bench. The department shall specify the brand of quick connectors to be <br />used. A compartment shall have fu ll y adj ustable stainless-steel rings for the 02 <br />tank. The rings sha ll be located in the front of the com partment (tank will be <br />YLN_ <br />v.6_ <br />provided by the department). / <br />Yj_N_ <br />24.0.2 Oxygen outlets to be Cemtron/NCG brand . /. <br />Y~N- <br />24.0.3 One (1) gravity type Thorpe tube oxygen flow meter shall be provided. This <br />flow meter shall be certified by the equipment manufacturer to meet the appropriate <br />FDA standards for medical oxygen flow meters. / <br />YLN_ <br />24.1 REGULATOR <br />A 50-psi preset medical oxygen regulator shall be provided and installed on the <br />supply end of the oxygen system hose.
